Parker Honored by Kentucky Senate
A recent resolution honoring and congratulating Harlan native Ashe Parker and wishing her "continued success with her remarkable acting career", was approved by the Senate of the General Assembly for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Presenting the resolution was Sen. Brandon Smith. "I appreciate someone from my district stepping up and taking a risk on something," said Smith. "I just wanted to recognize some of the good things which are happening at a time when a lot of the news is not so good." Ashe has devoted herself to acting and is regarded as a "natural actress". "This is such an honor to receive this recognition," said Parker. "I was taken on a tour of the capitol and allowed on the Senate and House Debate floor. It was a memorable occasion, one I'll never forget."
